If I idle all night at low ambient temps and now I have a STOP Engine lamp. I have tried using the toggle Regen switch but nothing happens. What's going on with my truck?
If you idle all night even with high ambient temps you will get the STOP Engine lamp. Answer is simple your truck is not meant to idle at low rpms, your Diesel Particulate Filter is full of soot and because of the low ambient temps can't raise the heat high enough to burn that soot. You will need a force regeneration because the software on the laptop tells the truck to be under a load and use the turbo charger to put more heat into the exhaust system.
